Journey through
Kenya as you explore some of the country’s most iconic landscapes.

Join us for this experience that blends safari, coast, and connection, beginning in Mombasa where you’ll have time to arrive and settle in.

From there, we head inland for a safari through Tsavo East National Park, where guided game drives offer the chance to see elephants, giraffes, lions, and expansive savannah. We then round out the retreat on the coast in Watamu, where days open into yoga, ocean swims, and time to unwind, ending with a complimentary massage and a peaceful full-moon float through the mangroves.

Retreat Highlights:

Two Day Safari in
Tsavo East National Park
We’ll spend our days exploring the wild terrain of Tsavo East National Park, moving through one of Kenya’s most expansive safari landscapes. Think wide-open plains, red earth, elephants and giraffes roaming freely, with the chance to spot lions, zebras, buffalo, and a wide range of birdlife across the savannah.

Yoga Practice
Twice daily yoga in Watamu. Unwind and drop into long practices that focus on uniting mind, body, and breath. The open air shala amidst the jungle and sea provides a stellar container for deep work.

Massage
Healing hands will help you take a big exhale as you release tension and invite rest after an adventurous and awe-inspiring few days out on safari.

Mangrove Float
Under the glow of the full moon, guests will take part in a guided mangrove float through Mida Creek, beginning with a walk through village paths and forest before drifting through winding mangrove channels toward the sea. As the water opens, you’ll float with the outgoing tide to a quiet beach, where a Swahili breakfast awaits before a scenic walk back. Timed with the moon and tides, this experience offers a rare sense of stillness, connection, and coastal beauty.

This retreat is about finding balance between adventure and ease.

Travel with presence. Respectfully witness the wild. Relax by the ocean.

Hi, I am Willis!

Since a very young age, Willis has been drawn to movement — the freedom, joy, and sense of peace it offers.

He began dancing at 10, earned a BFA in Dance Performance from SMU, and went on to perform professionally in New York City and Las Vegas with the Metropolitan Opera, The Chase Brock Experience, and Cirque du Soleil.

He found yoga in 2009 while navigating the demands of a professional dance career, and it was a game changer. In 2014, following the passing of his beloved mother, he left his dance career and dove heart first into teaching — completing his 200-hour training with Anna Laurita, his 300-hour with Noah Mazé, and later studying Katonah Yoga under Nevine Michaan and Abbie Galvin. He now serves as a mentor with the Katonah Yoga Center.

In 2022, he founded Flying Heart Yoga in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, which is a space dedicated to communal practice, education, and self-cultivation. He leads classes, workshops, and retreats internationally, and is the founder of Flying Heart Retreats.

Willis believes yoga offers a powerful opportunity to inhabit the body, mediate our circumstances, and expand into our full potential. His classes are grounding and exploratory, rooted in breath, meditation, and thoughtful movement — held in a space that welcomes curiosity, depth, and self-discovery.
