June 22–28, 2027
Lagos, Portugal
Known for its dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and relaxed atmosphere, the Algarve offers a setting that supports both movement and stillness.
Our days are anchored by yoga and reflection, balanced with time on the water, in nearby towns, and along the coastline. We’ll experience the region from multiple perspectives—from boat to trail to table—while enjoying nourishing meals and a slower, more intentional rhythm throughout the week.
Boat Day Along
the Algarve Coast
Spend a day on the water exploring sea caves, cliffs, and hidden beaches. Swim, snorkel, paddle, and take in the coastline with local guides.
Coastal Jeep Adventure
+ Sunset Dinner
Explore surrounding landscapes by jeep, moving through coastal viewpoints and nearby areas before ending the evening with a hilltop dinner overlooking the ocean.
Daily Yoga Practice
1–2 daily practices ranging from Vinyasa and Katonah to restorative and yoga nidra, designed to support both energy and recovery throughout the week.
Nourishing Meals
Daily brunch, afternoon snacks, and dinners prepared with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients—making food a central part of the experience.
This retreat is about balance
Movement and rest, exploration and ease, structure and space.
Our home for the week is a private hilltop retreat just outside Lagos, offering panoramic views of the Algarve coast.
Originally a private residence, the property has been transformed into a boutique escape with eight spacious suites and a two-bedroom cottage. Each room includes an ensuite bathroom and a private balcony or terrace with ocean or garden views.
The grounds include lush gardens, fountains, an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, creating a quiet and restorative environment. Located just 10 minutes from Lagos town, the property offers both proximity to activity and space to fully unwind.
The rooms at our Quinta for the week are spacious, thoughtfully designed, and filled with details gathered from the owners’ travels around the world.
Named after local Algarve beaches, each room has its own character, blending designer fabrics, curated artwork, and personal touches with a relaxed Mediterranean feel. You’ll find batiks from Indonesia, paintings sourced from Sydney markets, porcelain antiques from Northern Portugal, and hand-carved pieces from Africa woven throughout the spaces, creating an atmosphere that feels both elegant and deeply personal. All rooms include a private terrace or balcony with table and chairs overlooking the gardens and sparkling Atlantic coastline — a peaceful place to unwind after a day of yoga, hiking, and exploring the Algarve.
Yoga sessions will take place in our quinta’s gorgeous studio, which is bright and inspiring, and features traditional portuguese tile art for a pop of local magic.
All props are provided, allowing you to travel light and settle into practice with ease.

The retreat begins with arrival and time to settle into the space. The evening opens with a welcoming circle and grounding practice to arrive together as a group, followed by a shared dinner that sets the tone for the days ahead—warm, nourishing, and connected.
June 23
The first full day invites you into the flow of retreat life with a deep morning practice and a leisurely brunch. The afternoon is spacious, with snacks available and time to rest, explore, beach it, or shop in Lagos town. An evening practice brings the group back together before dinner.
June 24
Morning practice and brunch anchor the day before it opens outward into adventure. In the late afternoon, the group heads out on a sunset jeep tour, weaving through neighboring towns, beaches, and lookout points with sweeping coastal views. The evening is topped off with a traditional Portuguese seafood dinner at a cliffside tavern as the sun sets over the Atlantic.
June 25
After yoga and brunch, enjoy a spacious free day...perfect for a beach moment at the neighboring village of Burgau. Or, relax for a pool day, get a massage, and lean into chill mode. Your retreat, your vibe. Evening yoga and dinner seal another epic day.
June 26
After morning practice and breakfast, the retreat ventures out onto the water for a boat trip along the Algarve coast. Cliffs, caves, and emerald waters make for magic and new perspectives. To balance the adventure of the day, we return to the house for chill yoga and a delicious dinner.

Hi, I am Willis!
Since a very young age, Willis has been drawn to movement — the freedom, joy, and sense of peace it offers.
He began dancing at 10, earned a BFA in Dance Performance from SMU, and went on to perform professionally in New York City and Las Vegas with the Metropolitan Opera, The Chase Brock Experience, and Cirque du Soleil.
He found yoga in 2009 while navigating the demands of a professional dance career, and it was a game changer. In 2014, following the passing of his beloved mother, he left his dance career and dove heart first into teaching — completing his 200-hour training with Anna Laurita, his 300-hour with Noah Mazé, and later studying Katonah Yoga under Nevine Michaan and Abbie Galvin. He now serves as a mentor with the Katonah Yoga Center.
In 2022, he founded Flying Heart Yoga in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, which is a space dedicated to communal practice, education, and self-cultivation. He leads classes, workshops, and retreats internationally, and is the founder of Flying Heart Retreats.
Willis believes yoga offers a powerful opportunity to inhabit the body, mediate our circumstances, and expand into our full potential. His classes are grounding and exploratory, rooted in breath, meditation, and thoughtful movement — held in a space that welcomes curiosity, depth, and self-discovery.
